1964年に生産された国内初の150mダイバー、Ref.6217-8001です。国内外共に評価の高い名作で、62MASの名称で呼ばれています。細かいマイナーチェンジにより、様々なバリエーションがありますが、こちらは最初期にみられる刻印の浅いイルカ仕様です。ケースは角ばったCラインで、ラグが一体の頑強なつくり、ベゼルは両回転式、スクリューバックです。ダイヤルはグレーのサンレイ、プロメチウムのルミナスです。搭載キャリバー6217Aは手巻き機能のない、自動巻機械となります。リューズの一段引きによる日付のクイックチェンジが可能なため、日常使いに重宝しそうな一品です。

ケースはエッジが立った素晴らしいコンディションです。打ち傷がなく、オリジナルプロポーションを堪能できます。ベゼルは適度に小傷を帯び、雰囲気のある表情へ変化しています。ダイヤルは美しく、製造から50年経過したヴィンテージ品とは思えないほどのコンディションです。針やインデックスはルミナスが黒くエイジングしています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

The Ref.6217-8001, produced in 1964, marks Japan's first 150m diver, often referred to as the 62MAS, a highly acclaimed masterpiece both domestically and internationally. While various minor changes resulted in different variations, this one features the shallow engraving of a dolphin, a characteristic seen in the earliest versions. The case boasts a sharp-edged C-line design, with integrated lugs for robustness, a bi-directional rotating bezel, and a screw-down case back. The dial has a gray sunray finish, with Promethium luminous material. It houses the caliber 6217A, an automatic movement without manual winding function, featuring a quick date change via a single-stage pull of the crown, making it convenient for everyday wear.

The case is in excellent condition with sharp edges, allowing you to appreciate its original proportions without any dents. The bezel shows moderate scratches, adding to its character. The dial is beautiful and remarkably well-preserved, considering it's been 50 years since its production. The hands and indices have aged with black luminescence. It has been disassembled and cleaned by us.

The guardless, big crown details make it highly sought after by vintage diver watch enthusiasts. This 62MAS marks the beginning of iconic Seiko divers such as the Uemura Diver and the 63 Diver.
