COMMENT

1961年製のセイコー・シーホースは、同時期のワールドタイマーに似たケースデザインが特徴的です。シーホースという名前は「タツノオトシゴ」を意味し、防水性を重視して設計されたことがうかがえます。希少なブラックダイヤルにはドーフィン針と太めのバーインデックスが配置されており、視認性に優れたデザインとなっています。また、針とインデックスには夜光塗料が施され、暗所での視認性も確保されています。

セイコー・クロノスは、時の神クロノスの名を冠した名作で、戦後初めて第二精工舎亀戸工場によって設計・開発されたオリジナルムーブメントを搭載しています。付加機能が一切ないシンプルな三針モデルで、手巻き時計としての先駆けとも言える存在です。このモデルは後の「キングセイコー・ファースト」の基礎となった重要な時計です。裏蓋はスクリュー式で、外周のリングによって裏蓋が締め付けられる構造となっています。

The 1961 Seiko Sea Horse features a case design similar to the world timers of the same era. The name "Sea Horse," referring to the seahorse, suggests a design focused on water resistance. The rare black dial is adorned with dauphine hands and thick bar indexes, offering excellent legibility. Additionally, both the hands and indexes are coated with luminous paint, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions.  

The Seiko Chronos is a masterpiece named after the god of time, Chronos, and is equipped with the original movement designed and developed by the second Seikosha Kameido factory after World War II. This model is a simple three-hand manual-wind watch, marking a pioneering step for hand-wound timepieces. It also served as the foundation for the later "King Seiko First," making it an important piece in Seiko's history. The caseback is screw-down, and its structure uses an outer ring to tightly secure the back.
