1964年に登場したキングセイコーのセカンドモデル、Ref.44-9990です。1stモデルと比べ、ハック機能の搭載や、スクリューバックの採用など、実用性の向上が図られています。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ、ソリッドなバーインデックス×ドルフィンハンドのクラシカルな意匠。ノンデイトですのですっきりとしたシンメトリーなフェイスが魅力です。

ケースは使用傷が少なく、ラグのエッジが際立つ整ったコンディションです。ダイヤルはシルバーの輝きをしっかりと保ち、素晴らしい状態を維持しています。針は上面のファセットにくすみや傷がなく、鏡のように美しく光ります。インデックスも同様に、3面に整えられた鏡面仕上げが施されており、どの角度から見ても輝きを放ちます。ロゴも端正な状態を保ち、上品に光を反射します。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

キングセイコーは1961年8月に亀戸の第二精工舎にて開発され、グランドセイコーに次ぐ高級腕時計としてセイコーの時計史において欠かすことのできない名品腕時計となっています。

The King Seiko Second Model, Ref. 44-9990, was introduced in 1964. Compared to the first model, it features improvements in practicality, such as a hacking function and a screw-back case. The dial showcases a silver sunburst finish, solid bar indexes, and dauphine hands, embodying a classic design. As a no-date model, it offers a clean, symmetrical appearance.  

The case is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, maintaining sharp edges on the lugs. The silver dial has retained its brilliance, remaining in remarkable condition. The hands are free of tarnishing or scratches on their faceted surfaces, reflecting light beautifully like a mirror. The indexes, finished with a three-sided polished surface, radiate brilliance from every angle. The applied logo remains crisp and reflects light with refined elegance. The watch has been disassembled and serviced by our company. 

King Seiko is a testament to the beauty of minimalism. While simple, it embodies a uniquely Japanese sense of refinement. Its timeless design exudes a universal elegance that continues to shine through the decades.

King Seiko was developed at the Kameido-based Daini Seikosha in August 1961 as a high-end timepiece second only to Grand Seiko. It has since become an iconic watch in Seiko’s history, representing precision, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
