厚みのあるぽってりとしたケースがアンティークらしいシーマスター。ダイヤルは中央が隆起したボンベです。Ref.2589の中でも初期のもので珍しいアルファハンドを装備しており、趣があります。長年製造されているシーマスターは時代によってその印象が大きく変わります。こちらの世代は、500系の安定した機械かつ、50年代のクラシックな意匠を楽しめます。ケースは防水スナップと呼ばれる種類で、ミドルケースと裏蓋で厚いパッキンに圧力をかける、この世代のスタンダードな防水仕様です。現代におきましてはお水に気を付けてご使用ください。

搭載Cal.503では日付の簡易早送りが可能です。時刻合わせで針を往復させて日付を送る「往復送り」を備えており、使い勝手が良いです。自動巻きが巻き上がる時に小気味よいビーズを転がしたような巻き上げ音を立てて、働きをアピールしてきます。

ダイヤルは気になる劣化の見られない、良いコンディションです。ゴールドケースとの調和が取れ、ムーディで品の良さを感じます。針やインデックスのコンディションが素晴らしく、煌びやかに輝きます。ケースは小傷こそありますが、面取りされたラグなど当時のシェイプが崩れることなく残っています。リューズにシーマスター専用の、厚みのある純正品が付いています。弊社での分解掃除後、作動テストでは48時間のパワーリザーブに、＋10秒/日の精度を確認しております。

The dial, with its raised bulging center, showcases a rare Alpha hands design, adding a unique charm to this early version of Ref.2589. Seamasters produced over the years underwent significant changes in their impressions based on the era. This particular generation provides the stability of the 500 series mechanism along with the classic design elements from the 1950s, offering a delightful blend. The case, employing a type called the waterproof snap, exerts pressure through a thick gasket between the mid-case and the case back, representing the standard waterproof specification of that era. Please exercise caution when it comes to water exposure in contemporary usage.

Equipped with Cal.503, it allows for quick date adjustment during time setting, featuring a "back and forth" mechanism that moves the hands back and forth to adjust the date conveniently. The automatic winding action produces a pleasant sound resembling the rolling of beads when the watch is wound up, showcasing its functionality.

The dial maintains an excellent condition without noticeable deterioration, complementing the gold case harmoniously and exuding a moody and refined feel. The superb condition of hands and indices adds a dazzling sparkle. While the case exhibits minor scratches, the original shape, including the chamfered lugs, remains intact. The Seamaster-specific, thick and genuine crown is attached to the crown. Following disassembly and cleaning by our team, the watch has been tested to confirm a power reserve of 48 hours and an accuracy of +10 seconds/day.
