ツートンダイヤルが印象的なシーマスター。ケース形状はプレシーマスターや初期シーマスター Ref.2576 と同様の特徴を持ちます。この Ref.2493 はケース径が 36.5mm のジャンボサイズで、非常に長いラグがケースバックよりも下に伸びる独特のフォルムを形成しています。ダイヤルはシルバー基調で、仕上げの工夫により立体感のあるツートーンデザインを実現。インデックスにはアラビア数字がギルト仕上げ、クサビ型インデックスがエンボス加工で表現されるなど、当時の高度な製造技術が随所に光ります。また、この世代でシルバーカラーのインデックスは珍しいです。ムーブメントには半回転式自動巻きの Cal.332 を搭載。このキャリバーは、腕に伝わる独特の振動が特徴で、自動巻き技術の進化を体感できる趣深いモデルです。

The case shape is reminiscent of the Pre-Seamaster and early Seamaster Ref. 2576, featuring a 36.5mm jumbo size with exceptionally long lugs that extend downward from the case back, creating a distinctive silhouette. The silver-tone dial is skillfully finished, achieving a three-dimensional effect with its two-tone design. The applied Arabic numerals are gilded, and the wedge-shaped indices are embossed, showcasing the advanced manufacturing techniques of the era. The movement is powered by the half-rotating automatic Cal. 332, a caliber known for the unique vibrations felt on the wrist, allowing the wearer to experience the evolution of automatic winding technology.

The case proportions are elegant, and there are hardly any noticeable damages. The watch offers a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist, wrapping around like a second skin. The dial shows minor aging visible under magnification, but the overall color tone remains excellent, with little to no noticeable wear to the naked eye. The hands, indices, and applied Omega logo retain their brilliance, gleaming beautifully when exposed to light. The luminous material on the dial has aged to a gorgeous beige hue, enhancing the vintage feel, while the hands have developed a blackish patina. The movement is beautifully adorned with a red-copper plating, maintaining an exceptional condition.

Despite its jumbo size, the complex dial design, with minimal blank spaces, heightens the appeal of this model. The sharp indices, gleaming Arabic numerals, the beige patina surrounding the luminous, and the carefully placed small seconds, all harmonize to express the unique personality of this timepiece.
