OMEGA Ref.2537-10 Copper Two Tone Dial

COMMENT

1950年製造のオメガ。クラシカルなデザインと高い実用性を兼ね備えたモデルです。ツートンダイヤルにドーフィンハンド、ダイヤルと一体形成のくさび形インデックスを採用し、3・6・9・12時のインデックスにはギルト仕上げが施され、1950年代らしい個性的なフェイスが印象的です。針の中央とインデックスの周囲には夜光塗料が塗布されており、視認性と実用性を兼ね備えています。搭載されているCal.283は、インカブロック耐震装置を備えた信頼性の高いセンターセコンドムーブメントです。

ケースには使用に伴う傷が少々見られるものの、ヴィンテージならではの味わいを感じさせるコンディションです。ダイヤルはエイジングにより色味が変化し、程よいやれ感がシックな印象を引き立てています。針やインデックスにはくすみが見られますが、全体の落ち着いた雰囲気とよく調和しています。また、夜光塗料は黒く変色しており、ヴィンテージらしい風格を演出しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

カッパーカラーのツートンダイヤルにローズゴールドカラーのインデックスと針を組み合わせた、ユニークな30mmキャリバーモデル。若干のやれ感が見られるため値ごろではありますが、生産数が少なく、希少なディテールを楽しめる一本です。

腕時計が普及し始めた1910年代から手巻き、自動巻と変遷を経て、クオーツ時計の開発によって機械式時計が衰退します。それ以前の1960年代に機械式腕時計はひとつのピークに達します。当時は日本でも三種の神器の一つだったオメガの時計。持つ人のステータスとなる高級品で、各メーカーが精度や防水性、耐久性など切磋琢磨し開発した時代。コストをかけて、より良い時計造りのためにしのぎを削っていました。

COMMENT  

A 1950 Omega that combines classic design with high practicality. This model features a two-tone dial, dauphine hands, and faceted wedge-shaped indexes that are seamlessly integrated with the dial. The 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock markers are finished in gilt, creating a distinctive 1950s aesthetic. Luminous material is applied to the center of the hands and around the indexes, enhancing both legibility and functionality. It is powered by the Cal. 283, a highly reliable center-seconds movement equipped with an Incabloc shock protection system.

The case shows some minor scratches from use, adding to its vintage charm. The dial has developed an aged patina, giving it a refined and sophisticated character. While the hands and indexes exhibit slight tarnishing, they harmonize well with the overall subdued aesthetic. The luminous material has darkened over time, contributing to the watch’s vintage appeal. The movement has been disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.

A unique 30mm caliber model featuring a copper-toned two-tone dial paired with rose gold-colored hands and indexes. While there are signs of aging, making it relatively affordable, its limited production and rare design details make it a timepiece worth appreciating.
