1940年代においてひときわ目を引いたであろう造形のテラッセです。ケースは当時においては型破りな形状です。当時の腕時計は華奢なラグや薄いスナップバックでケースの破損が多かったようです。ステイブライトにスクリューバック、金属の塊から削り出したかのような、頑強な造りです。ダイヤルは仕上げの違いにより陰影を出したツートンです。ドイツ語で防水を表す「WASSERDICHT」の表記が確認できます。

The Terrasse, with its distinctive design, undoubtedly stood out in the 1940s. The case boasted an unconventional shape, especially notable during that era. Back then, wristwatches often suffered from fragile lugs and thin snap backs, leading to frequent case damages. The Stellbright, with its screw-back and a robust construction resembling a carved-out metal block, defied the delicate trends of the time. The dial, featuring a two-tone effect created through varying finishes, showcased shadows and included the German word "WASSERDICHT" to denote its waterproof nature.

There was a time when numerous watch manufacturers flourished worldwide. During this period, Japan's exchange rate was fixed at 360 yen to the dollar, making imported goods exceptionally expensive.
