＜JAEGER LE COULTRE（ジャガー・ルクルト）＞は、現在も個性的なモデルを数多く製造し続けるマニュファクチュール。かつては、他の名門メーカー（ヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン、オーデマピゲ、パテックフィリップ、カルティエ等）にもムーブメントやパーツ等のエボーシュを供給していました。始まりは1183年、スイスの小さな工房から。「科学によって立つ」という信念のもと、信頼ある機械・製造ラインを作ることに力を入れ、時計の中心地であったスイスで、高級ブランドに時計の機械・部品製造の先端を行く供給元に成長しました。＜レベルソ＞を代表する自社ブレンドモデルなど、現在では数少ない自社生産のマニファクチュールブランドです。

COMMENT

The vertically brushed dial is enhanced by a recessed outer track, emphasising the sculptural depth typical of a bombe dial. Pencil hands with rounded tips complement wedge-shaped indexes, while applied Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 lend a sense of strength to the otherwise classical design. The stepped bezel and outward-flaring lugs enrich the case, giving nuance and character to its otherwise understated form.

The case shows light surface marks consistent with age, yet its original proportions remain intact, preserving a strong vintage presence. The caseback engraving is sharp and well defined. The dial has matured to a warm tone through natural ageing, while the smooth surfaces of the hands catch the light softly, with only minimal signs of wear. The indexes retain their sharp facets, reflecting light with clarity. The movement has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and serviced by our watchmakers.

This watch brings together thoughtful design details and the refined patina of age, balancing enduring elegance with a commanding vintage character. Its presence speaks to the dignity and timelessness that only a well-preserved timepiece of this era can convey.

Jaeger-LeCoultre remains one of the few true manufactures, producing an extensive range of distinctive models to this day. Historically, the maison supplied ébauches and components to many of the most prestigious names in watchmaking—including Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and Cartier. Tracing its origins to a modest Swiss workshop in 1833, the brand grew into a trusted innovator, guided by the principle of “standing on science” and advancing precision engineering. Today, with icons such as the Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre continues its legacy as one of the rare manufactures to design, produce, and assemble movements entirely in-house.
