COMMENT
This antique Omega manual-winding watch features a round case adorned with 24 sparkling diamonds on the lugs, exuding timeless elegance. The dial is a silver sunray finish, with applied bar indexes and pencil hands painted with black enamel at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. Despite its simple design, it commands attention with its exceptional presence, captivating the hearts of onlookers. It's a masterpiece of the back-winding Cal.640 movement, with the crown attached to the case back.

The case exhibits minimal scratches, with well-defined lug edges and prongs. There are no noticeable damages to the diamonds, and the silver dial retains its texture without any signs of deterioration. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our experts, confirming a power reserve of 48 hours.

The exquisite sheen of 18-karat white gold coupled with a case adorned with diamonds creates a luxurious appeal, yet it maintains an elegant atmosphere without being ostentatious.

Since wristwatches began to gain popularity in the 1910s, they have evolved from manual to automatic winding, and later witnessed a decline in mechanical watches with the development of quartz timepieces. In the 1960s, mechanical wristwatches reached their peak, with Omega watches being one of the prized possessions, even in Japan, akin to the "Three Sacred Treasures." They symbolized status and luxury, driving manufacturers to compete in precision, waterproofing, and durability. It was an era where companies spared no expense in the pursuit of crafting superior timepieces.
