1950年代初期、脂がのり始めた頃のシーマスター。マットな白文字盤を有する、ジャンボサイズです。真っ白な盤面に外側へ寄せたダイアモンド型インデックスは、通常ではないバランス感で、文字盤面積がより大きく見える視覚効果を生み出しています。ジャンボケースに収まっていますので、その効果は大きいです。ミニッツラインはインデックスの内側に、秒針の長さに合わせており視認性に長けています。ケースはシーマスター1型。Cal.354搭載の初期のもので2ピースケース、スクリューバックのタイプです。

過去のオーナーが大切に扱っていたのがわかる、良いコンディションです。ケースは小傷のみで、ラグのエッジが立っています。傷が目立ちやすい殆どフラットな鏡面ベゼルは艶があります。汚れが目立ちやすい白文字盤ですが、エイジングが少なく現存しています。インデックスとアップライトのΩロゴは、文句の付け所がありません。針はエイジングにより、若干反射が弱いです。1950年代のヴィンテージウォッチとして見れば、美品の部類に入ります。

This Seamaster from the early 1950s, showcasing a Jumbo size with a matte white dial, captures the essence of that era. The diamond-shaped indexes, placed towards the outer edge on a completely white dial, create an unusual balance, giving a visual effect that makes the dial area appear larger. Housed within the Jumbo case, this effect is quite pronounced. The minute track inside the indexes, aligned with the length of the seconds hand, enhances visibility. The case is of the Seamaster 1st type, featuring a two-piece case with a screw-back and equipped with the Caliber 354.

In remarkable condition, it reflects the care given by its previous owner. The case has only minor scratches, and the edges of the lugs are well-defined. The mostly flat mirror-polished bezel, prone to visible scratches, retains its gloss. While white dials can easily show signs of dirt, this one has minimal aging and remains well-preserved. The indexes and the upright Ω logo leave nothing to be desired. The hands show a slight reduction in reflection due to aging, which is typical for a vintage watch from the 1950s, placing it in the category of well-preserved pieces.

The dial design, maximizing the unique texture of powder white, is captivating, offering a distinct and comfortable feeling when worn.
