ブルズアイにスモールセコンド、ミッドサイズとクラシカルな当時の装いが表現されたオメガ。アラビアインデックスは夜光塗料の植字タイプ。時分針は根元のくびれたペンシルハンド、秒針はモダンと呼ばれるこの年式のオメガが多用したデザイン針です。オメガロゴと外周のミニッツトラックはゴールドの下地出し技法です。1930年台後半という腕時計が超高級品であった頃、これほど趣向を凝らしたデザインができたのはオメガというブランド力が伺えます。ケースはラグ側面からケースがシームレスな造りのカラトラバタイプです。

状態について、ケースは1930年代のものとは思えない素晴らしいコンディションをしています。ラグのエッジにある小さな面が綺麗に残っています。ダイアルは全体的にエイジングし、雰囲気良く味のあるヴィンテージらしいテイストに仕上がっています。ルミナスは良く焼けていますが、手の加わっていないリアルヴィンテージです。針はエイジングしていますが、鏡面が残っており角度をつけると光を反射します。当店にてオーバーホール済みです。パワーリザーブ47時間、日差+6秒を計測しました。ご購入後すぐご使用いただけます。

搭載キャリバー26.5は30mmキャリバー登場前の手巻きのオメガを牽引してきた代表的なムーブメントです。センターセコンドモデルや、耐震装置付きなど、バリエーションが多く、この世代とは思えない程安定感のある機械です。

腕時計が普及し始めた1910年代から手巻き、自動巻と変遷を経て、クオーツ時計の開発によって機械式時計が衰退します。それ以前の1960年代に機械式腕時計はひとつのピークに達します。当時は日本でも三種の神器の一つだったオメガの時計。持つ人のステータスとなる高級品で、各メーカーが精度や防水性、耐久性など切磋琢磨し開発した時代。コストをかけて、より良い時計造りのためにしのぎを削っていました。

COMMENT

An Omega timepiece that beautifully captures the classical elegance of the era with its bullseye design, small seconds subdial, and midsize proportions. The Arabic numerals on the dial are of the luminescent-painted type. The hour and minute hands feature a tapered pencil design, while the seconds hand adopts the modern design often used by Omega during this era. The Omega logo and the outer minute track are crafted with an underlying gold technique. In an era when wristwatches were considered luxurious, especially in the late 1930s, Omega's brand prowess shines through in the intricate designs of this watch. The case is a seamlessly crafted Calatrava type with a lug-side profile.

In terms of condition, the case exhibits remarkable preservation, seemingly defying its 1930s origins. The small facets on the edges of the lugs remain beautifully intact. The dial, aged overall, exudes a vintage charm and an appealing taste. The luminous material has aged gracefully, showcasing an untouched real vintage quality. The hands, while showing signs of aging, retain their mirror finish and reflect light at various angles. The watch has undergone an overhaul in our shop and boasts a power reserve of 47 hours, with a daily accuracy of +6 seconds, ensuring immediate usability upon purchase.

The caliber 26.5, predating the 30mm caliber introduction, stands as a representative movement that led Omega's manual-winding watches. With various variations, such as center-seconds models and those with shock-resistant systems, it is a surprisingly stable mechanism for its era.
