オメガのワンプッシュクロノ、クロノストップです。ワンプッシャーストップウォッチは、プッシャーを１回を押すと起動し、2回目で押し続けオレンジ色の針を停止させ、秒を読み取ります。プッシャーを離すと、センタークロノはゼロに戻ります。
ベゼルはヘアライン仕上げ、ケース外周は鏡面。ダイヤルはインデックス設置部が高く、文字盤中央部が傾斜している、パイパンダイヤルと真逆の作りです。斜傾部に設置されたアプライドインデックスには、半球状の夜光が半分ほど重なるように乗っています。ミニッツは0.2秒単位まで細かく目盛りがプリントされています。オメガ純正のメッシュブレスを装備したオリジナリティの高い個体です。

ケースは小傷が多々見られます。ヘアラインと鏡面の切り替えのエッジが立っており、良いプロポーションです。ダイヤルは傷が見られず、当時のままの質感です。この時計のポイントである針はプリントの色味が色鮮やかに残っております。インデックスは上面の鏡面仕上げにくすみがなく、キラキラと輝きます。12時の大きなルミナスは素晴らしいベージュカラーです。オメガが意図していないところで、素晴らしいフェイスへと仕上がりました。

ワンプッシュクロノとはスタート、ストップ、リセットのの作動をひとつのボタンのみで操作するクロノグラフ機構のこと。この機種では2時位置のボタンを使用します。経過する秒の計測を行う機能で、シンプルな操作性は機能的にもスポーツモデルです。スペーシーでポップな要素は70年代を間近に控えた当時の印象が色濃く表れた意匠です。

＜Geneve（ジュネーブ）＞シリーズは、コンステレーション、デビル、スピードマスター、シーマスターなどのシリーズの中でエントリーモデルとして1964年に登場。エントリーモデルとはいえ、発売当時の国産機械式時計などと比べるとはるかに高性能で、高価な時計でした。デザイン性が高く、メンズ、レディス共に都会的でスタイリッシュなモデルが多いラインです。現在では生産されていないモデルのため、アンティークでしか味わえない魅力があります。

COMMENT

Omega's one-push chronograph, the Chronostop, is an intriguing timepiece. The one-push stopwatch activates with a single press, the second push and hold stops the orange hand for reading seconds, and releasing the pusher resets the center chronograph to zero.

The bezel features a hairline finish, while the case's outer edges boast a mirror finish. The dial is a unique inverse design with raised index placement areas and a sloping central section, contrary to the traditional panda dial. Applied indexes on the sloping section have half-spherical lume that slightly overlaps, and the minute markers are finely printed down to 0.2-second intervals. This distinctive piece is equipped with an authentic Omega mesh bracelet.

The case exhibits numerous small scratches, and the edges with the transition between hairline and mirror finishes give it an excellent proportion. The dial is free of scratches, retaining its original texture. The vibrant color of the hands, a key feature of this watch, is well-preserved. The indexes, with a mirror finish on top, remain brilliant without any dullness, and the large luminous marker at 12 o'clock has a stunning beige color. The watch has transformed into a splendid face in unintended ways, capturing a fantastic essence.

The one-push chronograph, utilizing a single button for start, stop, and reset functions, is a unique and functional feature. In this model, the button at the 2 o'clock position is employed. Its simple operability for measuring elapsed seconds makes it a practical sports model. The space-age and pop elements represent the strong impressions of the approaching 1970s.

The Geneve series, including Constellation, DeVille, Speedmaster, and Seamaster, made its debut in 1964 as an entry-level model among these series. Despite being an entry-level model, it outperformed contemporary domestic mechanical watches in terms of both performance and price. The series offers high design aesthetics, and with its urban and stylish models, it appeals to both men and women. As these models are no longer in production, they possess a unique charm that can only be experienced through antique timepieces.
