COMMENT

アール・デコ全盛期に製造されたロレックスのレクタンギュラーモデル。ラグの形状が若干違いますが、同世代のプリンセスエジプシャンを想起させます。ケースは9金無垢製製。ダイヤルはホワイトのマット。ダイヤル外周はミニッツトラック、内側にはギルトラインのハチマキを配しています。インデックスはアラビア数字のブラックのプリント、針はブルースチールを採用しています。ラグはバネ棒ではなくはめ殺し式です。ブレスレットはロレックス純正品で、バックルにB&S 9CTの刻印が見られます。B&S (Britton & Sons) はイギリスのケースメーカーで、ロレックスのケースとブレスレットを多く製造しました。

ケースは傷が少なく、オリジナル通りの面が残っております。ダイヤルは年式を考慮すると、良好なコンディションです。焼けやダメージは見られますが、使用する分には気にならない程度です。ブルースチール針やギルトハチマキはヤレがなく、しっかりとした輝きを見せています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

COMMENT

This Rolex rectangular model was manufactured during the heyday of Art Deco. While the shape of the lugs differs slightly, it evokes the Princess Egyptian of the same era. The case is made of solid 9-karat gold. The dial is matte white, featuring an outer minute track and an inner gilt chapter ring. The indices are black printed Arabic numerals, and the hands are blued steel. The lugs are fixed rather than spring bars. The bracelet is a genuine Rolex piece, with the clasp marked B&S 9CT. B&S (Britton & Sons) was a British case manufacturer that produced many cases and bracelets for Rolex.

The case has minimal scratches and retains its original facets. Considering its age, the dial is in good condition. There is some patina and wear, but it's not noticeable during use. The blued steel hands and the gilt chapter ring remain intact and display a strong shine. The watch has been serviced and cleaned by us.

Rectangular Rolex watches from the 1930s were the pinnacle of elegance as dress items. The design style of the time was dominated by Art Deco. In an era that favoured mechanical shapes, this piece would have been at the cutting edge, and it now serves as a heritage item that offers a glimpse into that period.
