1919年以来、永遠に作り続けられているCARTIERの名作タンク。こちらは1970年代から始まるディフュージョンライン「マストシリーズ」の生産前に作られたプレマストタンクです。18金張りのケースは、ラグ先端の底面がマストシリーズに比べて丸くなく、より戦車のキャタピラらしいどっしりとしたデザインが特徴です。文字盤には「must de」の表記が入っておらず、ホワイトローマンのフェイスは後のルイカルティエコレクションにも重なるデザインとなっています。ロレックスと同形状の旧デザインのアメリカンバックル、旧ロゴのボックスが装備されています。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあります。

Since 1919, the iconic Cartier Tank has been produced continuously. This particular piece is a pre-Must Tank created before the launch of the Must de Cartier line in the 1970s. The gold-plated case features a more substantial design, with less rounded lugs than those of the later Must series, closely resembling the tracks of a tank. The dial lacks the "must de" inscription, and the white Roman numeral face is reminiscent of the later Louis Cartier collection. It comes equipped with the old design American buckle, similar in shape to Rolex, and an old logo box.

The dial is in excellent condition, free from cracks or stains. The case retains its original proportions, having never been polished. This pre-Must Tank is in exceptional condition, standing out among our previous collections. It has been serviced by our company and includes the original Cartier buckle, allowing you to enjoy its authenticity.
