COMMENT

1970年代にのみ見られるインデックスレスのタイプです。ダイヤルはブラックミラーで、高級感にあふれる意匠が施されています。盤面を走るブラックのバトンハンドと、レターのみで構成されたフェイスは、引き算のデザインを心得たもので、シンプルながらも高級感に満ちています。マストシリーズには、シルバーの上に厚く金を貼る加工技術である「ヴェルメイユ（vermeil）」が用いられ、手間とコストがかかっているため、高級感のある仕様です。

ケースは未仕上げですが、傷が少なく綺麗な状態です。ベルトはタンク専用のオリジナルサイズに基づいて製作され、カルティエ純正のバックルが装備されていますので、オリジナル性を存分にお楽しみいただけます。文字盤には、ヴィンテージのカルティエに見られるクラックが少々あります。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあります。

COMMENT

This index-less design is a rare type seen only in the 1970s. The dial, a luxurious black mirror finish, exudes sophistication with its minimalist and refined aesthetic. The dial's composition, featuring only black baton hands and lettering, is an exemplary display of subtractive design, maintaining a high level of elegance through simplicity. The Must series incorporates "Vermeil" (a technique involving a thick layer of gold over silver), adding a touch of luxury through its costly and labor-intensive manufacturing process.

The case remains unpolished yet is in pristine condition with minimal signs of wear. The strap, custom-made to match the original Tank specifications, comes with an authentic Cartier buckle, allowing you to enjoy the original essence of the piece.
