The barrel-shaped C-line case stands as one of the defining forms of OMEGA around 1970, often associated with the design language of Gérald Genta. Rather than the later flat crystal, this example retains the early domed acrylic, whose gentle curvature lends depth and a distinctly vintage character. The dial features a finely textured linen finish, its restrained sheen harmonizing elegantly with the case. Black accents and luminous material applied to the indexes and pencil hands balance legibility with sculptural clarity. The presence of the Ref.1093/515 elastic bracelet further enhances the overall appeal of the piece.
The condition is particularly noteworthy. The case retains crisp edges and full surfaces, with sharp transitions from the flanks to the upper planes that catch the light in a distinctly architectural manner. The dial presents almost as if unused, with the delicate linen texture clearly preserved throughout. Hands and indexes remain free from tarnish, while the applied logo and star motif retain strong definition. The luminous material has aged evenly, maintaining a pleasing tonal balance. The bracelet’s stretch function operates correctly, and overall preservation is of a remarkably high standard. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.
Examples of the C-line in such complete and cohesive condition are increasingly uncommon. Case, dial, and bracelet together convey the atmosphere of their era with unusual clarity. Even after more than half a century, the watch retains a sense of freshness that underscores the strength of its original design. The inclusion of the Ref.1093/515 elastic bracelet adds further significance from the standpoint of originality. Form, material, and condition align here with quiet conviction, resulting in a piece of considerable credibility.
