OMEGA Geneve Ref.166.0169

COMMENT

COMMENT

This Omega has a distinctly space-age design that feels characteristic of the 1970s. Within the Genève collection, it has a case shape reminiscent of the Cosmic. The case is finished with brushing throughout, while the bezel is polished, creating a clear and attractive contrast. The dial features a silver vertical brushed finish, with black-printed hands and indexes that enhance legibility and make the time easy to read.

The watch is powered by the Cal.1022, a day-date movement that adds a weekday display to the Cal.1012. It has a distinctive calendar adjustment function: the date moves backward when the crown is turned clockwise and advances when turned counterclockwise. The second crown position is used for time setting and includes hacking seconds, allowing precise adjustment.

The watch remains in good condition. There are signs of use around the lugs, but the overall refined impression is well preserved. The dial shows slight signs of aging, but there is no loss to the printed details, and the hands and indexes retain a bright appearance. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

With its bold 36.5mm case and highly legible design, this watch has the atmosphere of a sporty 1970s model. The sharply defined vertical brushing of the dial gives it an urban and refined impression, making it a versatile vintage Omega suited to a wide range of settings.
