1980年代に製作された幾何学的な時計。ビーズオブライスのようなブレスレットには、革新と伝統の調和を志すオーデマピゲの豊かな創造性が表れています。18金無垢製のケースは、同社のバンブーやコブラを彷彿とさせ、サイドから見るとブレスレットと地続きの金細工であることに気づきます。ダイヤルはマットなブルー。インデックスにはダイヤモンドをセットしています。同様に針にはダイヤモンドがセットされており、通常の針より厚みがあるため、ダイヤルとガラスの間にクリアランスを持たせた凝った構成となっています。搭載ムーブメントは自社製のCal.2080です。

ケースとブレスレットは全体として良好なコンディションを保っています。ブレスレットの各コマは丸みと艶を残し、柔らかな立体感をしっかりと感じられます。ブルーダイヤルはエイジングが一切見られず、ダイヤモンドインデックスの輝きが非常に鮮明です。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

COMMENT

This geometric Audemars Piguet was produced in the 1980s. The bracelet, reminiscent of a beads-of-rice design, reflects the brand’s rich creativity and its pursuit of harmony between innovation and tradition. The solid 18K gold case recalls Audemars Piguet’s Bamboo and Cobra designs, and when viewed from the side, it becomes clear that the watch is conceived as a continuous piece of gold work flowing from the bracelet. The dial is finished in matte blue and set with diamond indexes. It is powered by the in-house Cal.2080.

The case and bracelet remain in good overall condition. Each bracelet link retains its rounded form and luster, allowing the soft, dimensional character associated with the Bamboo Cobra to be clearly appreciated. The blue dial shows no major noticeable scratches or deterioration, and the diamond indexes retain a bright, clear brilliance. The hands are also diamond-set, a special configuration that gives them greater thickness than standard hands. As a result, the watch has been designed with additional clearance between the dial and crystal, reflecting its elaborate construction. The caseback engravings are also clearly visible.

The Bamboo Cobra is a watch that combines the refined character of a high-end Audemars Piguet jewelry watch with the elegance of a slim hand-wound timepiece. The pairing of a blue dial and diamonds gives the watch a rich presence while remaining composed, and the sculptural bracelet creates a distinctive character throughout the entire piece. Within the Cobra collection, this is a particularly appealing example with an excellent balance of design and decoration.
