1960年代前半に製造された、セイコー クロノス スペシャルです。ステンレススチールケースに手巻きのCal.810を搭載し、文字盤には細かな織り目が広がる絹目仕上げを採用。シルバーダイヤルに、中央のブラックラインが印象的なバーインデックスと、鋭く伸びる針を組み合わせています。12時位置の筆記体ロゴや6時位置の「DIASHOCK 23 JEWELS」表記も、当時のセイコーらしい端正な意匠です。

ケースには経年に伴う小傷が見られますが、ラグの形状やケースの輪郭はよく保たれています。シルバーダイヤルは絹目の繊細な質感がきれいに残り、ロゴや各表示も明瞭です。針とインデックスのシャープな輝きが、落ち着いた文字盤にほどよい立体感を加えています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

23石のCal.810を搭載するクロノス スペシャルは、当時のセイコーが高精度な手巻き時計を追求していた時代を伝えるモデルです。Cal.810はキングセイコーの設計思想と構造を背景に開発されたムーブメントとされ、外観の端正さだけでなく、機械式時計としての内容にも見どころがあります。絹目ダイヤルの繊細な表情と、過度な装飾を抑えたケースが調和した一本です。

COMMENT

This Seiko Cronos Special was produced in the early 1960s. Its stainless steel case houses the manually wound Cal. 810, while the silver dial is finished with a fine linen-like texture. Applied baton indexes with black central inlays are paired with sharply defined hands. The script logo at 12 o’clock and the “DIASHOCK 23 JEWELS” signature at 6 o’clock complete the composed appearance characteristic of Seiko watches from this period.

The case shows minor scratches consistent with age, while the shape of the lugs and the overall case profile remain well preserved. The silver dial retains its delicate woven texture, and the logo and other markings remain clear. The polished hands and indexes reflect the light sharply, adding subtle depth to the restrained dial. Equipped with the 23-jewel Cal. 810, the Cronos Special reflects a period when Seiko was actively pursuing greater precision in its manually wound watches. The movement is regarded as having been developed with design principles and construction associated with King Seiko, giving the watch mechanical interest beyond its composed exterior. Its finely textured dial is complemented by an understated case, resulting in a clean and well-balanced vintage Seiko.
