1942年に誕生した、世界初の回転計算尺を備えたクロノグラフ「クロノマット」のセカンドモデルです。ブラックダイヤルにホワイトの計算尺を組み合わせたコントラストの高いデザインに、レッドの差し色が精悍な印象を与えます。アプライド仕様のインデックスとBロゴ、シルバープリントのレターが立体感と視認性を高め、当時の機能美を色濃く反映しています。丸型プッシュボタンを備えたRef.808ならではのクラシックな佇まいも魅力です。

ダイヤルは極めて良好なコンディションを維持しており、経年による焼けやダメージはほとんど見受けられません。回転ベゼルは均一な色調を保ち、インデックスや針のくすみも最小限に抑えられています。ケースはミントコンディションで、三面ラグのエッジもシャープに残存。使用頻度の影響を受けやすいリューズやプッシュボタンにも目立つ摩耗はなく、丁寧に扱われてきたことがうかがえる個体です。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

COMMENT

Introduced in 1942, the Chronomat was the world’s first chronograph equipped with a rotating slide rule, and this example represents its second-generation evolution. The high-contrast design pairs a black dial with a white slide rule, while subtle red accents lend a dynamic and purposeful character. Applied indexes and the raised “B” logo enhance depth and legibility, complemented by crisp silver-printed lettering that reflects the functional aesthetics of the era. The classic round pushers further distinguish the Ref.808, reinforcing its timeless appeal.

The dial remains in exceptionally well-preserved condition, showing minimal signs of aging or damage. The rotating bezel retains a uniform tone, and any patina on the indexes and hands is negligible. The case is in mint condition, with the sharp edges of the distinctive three-faceted lugs clearly intact. Wear-prone components such as the crown and pushers exhibit minimal signs of use, indicating careful ownership throughout its life. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

The slide rule enables instantaneous multiplication and division, operated intuitively using the red “H” marker as a reference.
