PIAGET Ref.9025 Dali d'Or Onyx Dial 18K Yellow Gold Limited Edition

COMMENT

COMMENT

The PIAGET Ref.9025 is the “Dali d’Or,” introduced in 1982 as a collaboration with Salvador Dalí. Produced in a limited edition of 200 pieces, the caseback is engraved not only with the standard serial number, but also with an individual limited number in the format “+++/200.” The watch features a round 18K yellow gold case, with a finely decorated bezel unique to this model. The dial is made of glossy black onyx, with a “Dalí coin” placed at 12 o’clock. Its index-free two-hand layout further emphasizes its presence as an art piece. The watch is powered by the slim hand-wound Cal.9P2.

The case shows minor scratches from use, but retains the rich texture of 18K yellow gold very well. The bezel decoration remains clearly defined, giving the watch an attractive sense of depth when viewed from the front. The onyx dial retains its glossy surface, and the central Dalí coin, Piaget logo, and Dalí signature are all clearly visible. The engravings on the caseback remain sharp, preserving the important details of this limited-edition model. The watch comes with its original Piaget 18K yellow gold buckle. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

This watch was created in the period after the quartz crisis, when mechanical watches were beginning to be appreciated not merely as practical instruments, but as dress watches with artistic and personal appeal. It brings together Piaget’s slim hand-wound movement, the refinement of a jewelry watch, and the artistic character of its collaboration with Dalí. With the rarity of a limited production model and a clearly distinctive design, this is a highly collectible Piaget.
