COMMENT

The OMEGA Seamaster Ref.14390-62-SC is a hand-wound model with the clean, well-balanced design typical of early 1960s Seamasters. The silver dial features a delicate vertical finish, giving it a calm expression as the light changes. Baton indexes and slender pencil hands are paired with a no-date layout, creating a clean and classical appearance. The case features a screw-back construction, with sculpted cuts at the tips of the lugs that give the design additional depth. It is powered by the hand-wound Cal.285, part of Omega’s renowned 30mm caliber family.

The case shows minor scratches from use, but remains in good overall condition. The cut lines on the lugs are clearly preserved, and the case sides retain a natural sense of fullness. The dial shows no major deterioration that affects its overall appearance, and the vertical finish remains clearly visible. The hands and indexes retain a calm metallic sheen and pair well with the silver dial. The seahorse medallion on the caseback remains sharply defined, giving the watch the robust character expected of a screw-back Seamaster case. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

A no-date hand-wound Seamaster offers simple operation and the approachable usability expected of a vintage watch. The Cal.285 is a reliable and practical movement, also appreciated for its serviceability. With its modest case size, refined dial design, and solid screw-back case, this is a classic Seamaster well suited to everyday wear.
