サントスはブレスレットとベゼルがビスで彩られた、カルティエの個性を象徴するデザインです。指輪ではビスを用いた「LOVE コレクション」が1970年代から製造されています。8角形のベゼルが華やかなサントスオクタゴンは、すでに製造が終了しており、ビンテージならではの意匠です。ダイヤルは淡いアイボリー、マットな質感がクラシックな風合いです。ミニッツトラック、ローマインデックス、サークルラインのコンビネーションが美しいです。ブルースチールのバトン針と、カボジョンリューズの石の色が合っていて、良いポイントカラーとなります。

ケースとは未仕上げですが、状態が良いです。ダイヤルはミントコンディションで気になるような劣化、エイジングがありません。ブルースチールの針は濃い青色が現存しています。コンディションにおいて、文句の付け所がありません。

LMサイズのサントスオクタゴンは、近年入手が難しくなっており、久々のご紹介です。 平面カットされたブレスレットは陽光でキラキラと輝き、良質なバングルを着けているようです。デイト機能付きのクォーツ時計は、使い勝手が良く日常使いに重宝しそうです。

1900年代、飛行士サントス・デュモンが飛行中に時刻を確認できるようカルティエにオーダーしたのが「サントス」の始まり。そのサントスのなかでも八角形型モデル「サントスオクタゴン」は、平面上にカットが入ったブレスが、腕を動かす度にキラキラと煌めきます。シンプルながらもエレガントな印象を与えるモデルです。

The octagonal Santos bezel, embellished with screws, has already ceased production, making it a vintage design hallmark. The dial features a soft ivory tone with a matte texture, exuding a classic allure. The combination of minute track, Roman numerals, and circular lines is aesthetically pleasing. The blued steel baton hands complement the colors of the cabochon crown, serving as excellent accent points.

The case is unfinished but in good condition. The dial is in mint condition, with no noticeable deterioration or aging. The blued steel hands retain their deep blue color. There is nothing to criticize about the condition.

The LM-sized Santos Octagon has become increasingly difficult to obtain in recent years, making this a rare introduction. The bracelet, with its flat cuts, glimmers in sunlight, reminiscent of wearing a high-quality bangle. With the added functionality of a quartz movement and a date feature, this watch promises practicality for everyday wear.
