OMEGA Constellation Ref.14381

COMMENT

HIGHLIGHT

No-Date,   Pie Pan Dial,   No Luminous

COMMENT

Introducing Omega's flagship model, the Constellation. The dial features a two-tone design with a central vertical brushed finish and an outer concentric circular brushed finish. Gilt minute lines delineate the transition, and the dauphine hands and bar-shaped indices with beautiful facets add an elegant touch, characteristic of Omega's premium models. The absence of luminous material on the dial enhances its dressy appeal.

Powering this timepiece is the second-generation automatic caliber 551, belonging to the 550 series and onwards, showcasing a move towards a more streamlined and efficient movement. This transition allowed for reduced design restrictions, resulting in a more stylish and sophisticated face.

The two-tone dial exhibits uniform patina throughout. The hands, indices, and applied Ω logo feature impeccable mirror-finished plating without any signs of peeling, radiating a fresh and vibrant impression. The case maintains a splendid proportion, retaining edge details on the bezel steps. This watch offers an authentic glimpse into the ambiance of its era.

The Constellation, symbolizing the stars, is a gem of a model that seamlessly combines Omega's highest precision and automatic winding. With a rich variety of dial options, it stands out for the meticulous design invested in dial production, making it a compelling choice in the history of wristwatches.
