King Seiko Ref.5625-7110

COMMENT

The Suwa Seikosha's first King Seiko, the "56KS / Ref. 5625-7110," represents a significant milestone. This early model features the applied KS logo with the Suwa Seikosha symbol below, a mark of its distinguished origins. Housed in a case with a futuristic silhouette, the watch is paired with a matte navy-blue dial. The indices are intricately faceted, reflecting light brilliantly from every angle, thanks to meticulous surface treatment. Equipped with a hacking function, this movement also allows quick date adjustment in both directions, making it a highly practical timepiece.

The case shows minor scratches but maintains an overall clean and well-preserved appearance. The edges around the lugs remain sharp, giving the watch a solid and refined impression. While the dial exhibits some areas of flaking due to aging, these imperfections catch the light like constellations, adding a uniquely charming vintage character. The hands and indices show minimal tarnish, and the logo, in particular, stands out with vibrant and striking colors. Fully disassembled and serviced by our workshop.

In 1968, at the Neuchâtel Observatory trials in Switzerland, Seiko earned recognition for surpassing other manufacturers in precision. This King Seiko, with its elegant and simple design, pairs seamlessly with a sharp jacket, adding an understated accent to any wardrobe. It’s a chance to enjoy the craftsmanship and style of a half-century-old dress watch that remains timelessly relevant.
