グランドセイコー・セカンドに後期モデル、Ref.5722-9011です。 セカンドモデルが発売されたのはファーストモデルの発売から4年経った1964年。ファーストモデルと比較すると、カレンダー機能（早送り機能付き）を搭載、ケース裏蓋を圧入式のスナップバックからねじ込み式のスクリューバックに変更されています。後期モデルにあたるこちらは、クロノメーター表記がなくなり、GS表記へとなっています。また9011になることで裏蓋の「GC」の表記が「CAP GOLD」となるなど細かい調整が入っています。

ケースはスレンレスに260ミクロンの金張りを施したキャップゴールド製。ラグを太く設計することで耐久性も向上が図られており、機能性、素材、デザインから生まれる重厚な印象は、所有欲が満たされます。肉厚なケースにはシルバーのサンレイダイアルが収められています。鏡面仕上げされた多面カットの針とドルフィンハンドとバーインデックスは、ダイアルとのマッチングも素晴らしいです。

ケースは使用傷が少なく、全体的に整ったコンディションです。ケースバックのメダリオンGSの「G」に販売当時のシールが残っています。ダイヤルはエイジングの影響が見られず、サンレイ仕上げの輝きが魅力的に映えています。針はくすみが一切なく、鏡面仕上げの美しい面がそのまま保たれています。インデックスには一部に傷が見られるものの、気にならない程度に収まっております。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

This is the later model of the Grand Seiko Second, Ref. 5722-9011. Released in 1964, four years after the First model, the Second model introduced practical upgrades such as a calendar function with quick-set capability and a transition from a snap-back case design to a screw-back case. In this later version, the “Chronometer” text was replaced with the “GS” logo, reflecting a shift in branding. Additionally, with the 9011 designation, subtle refinements were made, including the transition of the case back inscription from "GC" to "CAP GOLD."

The case is made of cap gold, featuring 260-micron gold plating over stainless steel. The robustly designed thick lugs enhance durability, creating a bold impression born from a balance of functionality, material quality, and design—a watch that truly satisfies its owner. The substantial case houses a silver sunray dial that exudes sophistication. Multi-faceted mirror-finished dauphine hands and bar indices harmonize beautifully with the dial.

The case remains in excellent condition with minimal signs of use, preserving its elegant profile. The dial is free from aging effects, showcasing the radiant sunray finish to great effect. The hands are immaculate, maintaining their polished mirror-like brilliance. While there are minor scratches on some indices, they are unobtrusive and do not detract from the overall appeal. This timepiece has been fully serviced by our team.
