Housed within the traditional Oyster case is a rare black mirror dial, featuring an attractive gilt finish for the lettering and minute track. The bar indices and classic pencil hands, rendered in silver, add to the watch's understated sophistication. While most Ref. 6694 models from this period tend to feature gold indices, this silver-index variant is particularly scarce. At 6 and 9 o'clock, faceted wedge-shaped indices are used, with bar indices for the remaining hours. The flat crown logo further accentuates the model's classic aesthetic. The rivet-style Oyster bracelet is Ref. 7205, with a clasp dated 4/65 and end links marked 60.

The case is characterised by its thick, robust lugs. While there are some minor signs of wear, the overall proportions remain excellent, giving the watch a commanding presence. The standout feature is the black gilt dial, which retains a beautifully soft, glossy sheen, enhanced by just the right amount of vintage patina for an evocative, aged appearance.
