OMEGA Seamaster De Luxe Ref.14324

COMMENT

COMMENT

This piece features a smooth, uninterrupted form flowing from its hooded lugs into a perfectly round case—a hallmark of sophisticated mid-century design. The top of the case is adorned with three-dimensional engravings, adding an elegant decorative touch. The dial is finished in black gilt and unusually bears the “Chronometer” designation—an uncommon detail for a Seamaster that underscores the watch’s elevated technical status. The hour markers combine Breguet-style numerals and faceted wedge indices, achieving a harmonious balance between legibility and refinement. Inside beats the rare Caliber 354, a bumper automatic chronometer movement known for its durability and low production numbers.

The case retains its original silhouette, including the complex architecture of the hooded lugs. Though minor scratches are visible, there are no major dents or corrosion, and the overall appearance remains well-proportioned. The original signed crown—often missing on examples of this age—remains intact. The dial has aged to a warm, brownish tone, lending it a subtle vintage character. The indices and hands retain their sheen, showing minimal signs of deterioration. The watch has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and serviced by our workshop.

Crafted entirely in solid 18K yellow gold, this watch showcases Omega’s pursuit of both technical excellence and aesthetic refinement. The combination of a chronometer-certified bumper movement and ornate casework reflects a time when Omega sought to elevate functional tool watches into the realm of true horological art. Rarely seen on the market, this variant continues to resonate with collectors who appreciate both mechanical pedigree and design integrity
