18金無垢ケースによるタンクは、エッジの効いた繊細なフォルムと金素材ならではの光沢感が特徴です。Must de Cartierシリーズには見られない、ラッカーホワイトのダイヤルは18金モデル特有の意匠で、深みと品格を備えています。ローマ数字のインデックスとミニッツトラックはブラックプリントで構成され、ブルースチールのバトンハンドとともに、ホワイト、ブラック、ゴールド、ブルーの調和が美しい表情をつくり出しています。カルティエ純正のピンバックルが付属します。

ケースには細かなスレが見られますが、過度な摩耗はなく、ヴィンテージらしい趣を保っています。裏蓋には18金無垢を示すホールマークが明瞭に刻まれており、素材の真贋を裏付けています。ダイヤルには微細なクラックが点在していますが、特定の角度で反射させないと分からない程度で、自然な経年変化として受け取れる状態です。針にはブルースチールの発色が良好に残され、全体の印象を引き締めています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。

COMMENT

This Tank, crafted entirely from solid 18k gold, features sharply defined contours and a rich luster unique to precious metal. The lacquered white dial, exclusive to the solid gold model and not found in the Must de Cartier line, lends an added sense of depth and refinement. The Roman numerals and minute track are crisply printed in black, while the blued steel baton hands contribute to a striking palette of white, black, gold, and blue—an elegant and harmonious visual balance. A genuine Cartier pin buckle is included.

While the case shows minor surface wear, there are no signs of excessive polishing, and it retains the charm expected of a well-preserved vintage piece. The hallmarks on the side clearly attest to the solid gold construction, ensuring the material’s authenticity. The dial exhibits faint hairline cracks, but these are only visible under certain angles of light and are consistent with natural aging. The overall tone has gently shifted to a warm ivory, offering a calm and graceful presence. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.
