959年製のロレックス オイスター パーペチュアル Ref.6565です。34mmのステンレススチール製オイスターケースに、放射状の細かな刻みと鏡面部分を交互に配したエンジンターンドベゼルを組み合わせています。淡いアイボリーカラーのダイヤルには、中央に稜線を持つコフィン型のアプライドインデックスとドーフィンハンドを配置。王冠ロゴに加えて「ROLEX」の文字も立体的なアプライド仕様とされ、ブラックプリントの「OYSTER PERPETUAL」やクロノメーター表記との対比が、1950年代らしい奥行きのある表情を生み出しています。

ケースには使用に伴う細かな傷が見られますが、ラグには十分な厚みが残り、オイスターケース本来の均整の取れたプロポーションを維持しています。エンジンターンドベゼルの細かな刻みと鏡面部分の切り替えも明瞭です。ダイヤルには微細な斑点状のエイジングが見られ、アイボリーの色調とともに自然なヴィンテージ感を形成しています。針とインデックスには経年によるくすみや夜光の変化が見られますが、プリントは明瞭に残っています。純正リベットオイスターブレスレットRef.7206を装着し、エンドリンクは57、クラスプは1967年第3四半期を示す「3 67」の組み合わせです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントは自動巻Cal.1030を搭載。25石、毎時18,000振動のセンターセコンド仕様で、温度差および5姿勢で調整されたクロノメーターキャリバーです。デイト表示を持たない簡潔な構成に、オイスターケース、パーペチュアル機構、クロノメーター精度というロレックスの基本要素を凝縮。エンジンターンドベゼルやアプライドのブランド表記など、後年のオイスターパーペチュアルとは異なる1950年代特有の意匠を楽しめる一本です。

COMMENT

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Ref. 6565 dates to 1959. Its 34mm stainless steel Oyster case is fitted with an engine-turned bezel, alternating finely engraved radial sections with polished surfaces. The pale ivory dial features applied coffin-shaped indexes with central ridges and dauphine hands. Both the coronet and the “ROLEX” lettering are applied, creating a sense of depth against the black-printed “OYSTER PERPETUAL” and chronometer text characteristic of the period.

The case shows fine scratches from use, though the lugs retain good thickness and the Oyster case remains well proportioned. The alternating engraved and polished sections of the engine-turned bezel are still clearly defined. Fine spotting has developed across the dial, complementing its ivory tone with a natural vintage character. The hands and indexes show some tarnishing and aging to the lume, while the dial printing remains crisp. It is fitted with an original riveted Oyster bracelet, Ref. 7206, with 57 end links and a “3 67” clasp code dating to the third quarter of 1967. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Inside is the automatic Cal. 1030, a 25-jewel center-seconds chronometer movement operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour and adjusted to temperature and five positions. Its straightforward no-date configuration brings together the essential elements of Rolex watchmaking: the Oyster case, Perpetual automatic winding, and chronometer-rated precision. Details such as the engine-turned bezel and applied brand signature distinguish this example from later Oyster Perpetual models and give it a character specific to the 1950s.
