ロレックスのドレスウォッチライン「チェリーニ」から、Ref.3800です。18Kホワイトゴールド製ケースは、丸みを帯びたクッション形状を基調に、側面からラグへと続く面をすっきりと整えた造形。シルバーダイヤルには放射状のサンレイ仕上げを施し、立体的なバーインデックスと細身の針を配しています。装飾を抑えた端正な文字盤に、6時位置の筆記体「Cellini」表記が柔らかなアクセントを添えます。ムーブメントは手巻きのCal.1600を搭載。Ref.3800に同キャリバーを搭載した例も確認でき、薄く上品な装いにふさわしい構成です。

文字盤は放射状の筋目がきれいに残り、ロゴや「Cellini」の筆記体表記も明瞭です。ケースには細かな保管傷が見られますが、面の切り替わりや輪郭は端正に保たれ、ホワイトゴールドの落ち着いた質感をよく伝えています。針と立体的なインデックスも整った状態で、文字盤との調和が感じられます。当時の純正レザーストラップは使用感がほとんどなく、純正バックルも付属。保管状態の良さがうかがえる一本です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

From Rolex’s Cellini dress-watch collection, Ref. 3800 is housed in an 18K white gold case. Its softly rounded cushion form is complemented by clean surfaces extending from the case sides into the lugs. The silver dial has a radial sunburst finish, applied baton indexes, and slender hands. Its restrained layout is softened by the cursive “Cellini” signature at 6 o’clock. Inside is the manually wound Cal. 1600, a movement also documented in other examples of Ref. 3800 and well suited to its slim, elegant profile.

The dial retains its clearly defined radial brushing, with both the Rolex logo and cursive “Cellini” signature remaining crisp. The case shows minor scratches from storage, while the transitions between its surfaces and the overall outline remain well defined, preserving the understated character of the white gold. The hands and applied indexes are also in good condition and complement the dial attractively. The original period leather strap shows very little wear, and the original buckle is included. Together, they reflect the careful preservation of this example. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Ref. 3800 combines the quiet presence of a dress watch with the precise construction associated with Rolex. The cushion-shaped case offers a restrained individuality distinct from a conventional round design while remaining slim enough to sit comfortably beneath a shirt cuff. Its sunburst dial changes subtly with the light, bringing depth to the applied indexes. The presence of the period strap and buckle, both showing minimal use, suggests that the watch may have been worn very sparingly after purchase. This is a well-preserved Cellini in which the quality of the material and finishing stands out through its restrained design.
