1962年から製造されたRef.5513は1989年まで製造されたロングセラー商品でした。その為、同じ型番であっても年式によって細かなマイナーチェンジが確認できます。こちらは通称「プレコメックス」。ロレックスが潜水作業専門会社コメックス(COMEX)に向けて製作したRef.5514と同様のスターン社製ダイアルを備えています。幅広のずんぐりとした王冠ロゴがヴィンテージウォッチらしく、ROLEXの「L」の上部に見られる大きなセリフが特徴です。フィートファースト表記でマキシマムなドットルミナスを備えた唯一のダイアルです。ベゼルインサートは金色がかった太字の、オリジナリティーの高い一品です。日本ロレックスによるオーバーホール履歴があり、ブレスレットのみ交換されています。古いブレスをお探しの方は別途、お手伝いさせていただきます。

ケースは素晴らしいプロポーションです。小傷のみの瑞々しい印象で、ラグは鏡面とヘアラインを分ける3面のファセットが揃っており迫力があります。ベゼルは擦れが見られず黒々としています。ファンクションは正常に作動します。ダイアルは縁に剥がれなどなく、トリチウムが良い色合いです。針は鏡面のメッキ仕上げが美しく、トリチウムを理想的な状態で保持しています。ビデオにて状態をご確認ください。

The Ref.5513, manufactured from 1962 until 1989, enjoyed a long tenure as a bestseller. Consequently, even within the same model number, minor changes can be observed depending on the production year. This one is commonly known as the "Pre-Comex." It features a Stern dial similar to the one used by Rolex for the Ref.5514 made for the diving specialist company COMEX. The wide, stout coronet logo is characteristic of vintage watches, and the large serif seen above the "L" in ROLEX is a notable feature. It's the only dial with maximum luminous dots and foot-first indications. The bezel insert, with its bold gold-toned font, is highly distinctive. It comes with an overhaul history by Rolex Japan and only the bracelet has been replaced. If you're seeking an old bracelet, we can assist you separately.

The case boasts excellent proportions. With only minor scratches, it exudes a fresh impression, and the lugs feature three facets dividing mirror and brushed surfaces, adding to its imposing appearance. The bezel shows no signs of wear and remains jet-black. The functions operate normally. The dial is intact without any flaking around the edges, and the tritium exhibits a pleasing hue. This model represents the earliest phase of the Maxi dial and is a transitional product, renowned for its impressive balance and rarity. Despite being a non-chronometer version, it's equipped with the reliable Cal.1520 movement, which has served reliably for over 20 years.
