以前当サイトのジャーナルでもご紹介いたしました、エクスプローラーRef.1016 MARK1です。レターの王冠ロゴは最初期のマーク1にのみに見られる、カエルの足に見立てた通称フロッグレッグ。その中でもこちらはファットフォントと呼ばれる個体で、インデックスのトリチウムがノンファットのものと比べ、こんもりとパフィーです。ブレスレットはRef.7206でエンドピース(FF)は58番、69年2期のものが付属しています。

ケースは使用傷少ない、素晴らしいコンディション。プロポーションが良く、過度な使用歴は感じ取れません。ダイアルはパーフェクトです。目立った傷やヤレは見当たりません。トリチウムのインデックスはアンタッチで抜群のコンディション、黒ヤケが一切見られません。針ルムとインデックスの色味がマッチしているのがポイントです。針の夜光は断言はできませんが、修復されている可能性があります。ブレスは伸びが少なく理想的な状態、快適なつけ心地です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。パワーリザーブは48時間以上を確認しています。文句の付け所のない良個体です。是非ビデオにてご確認ください。

ファットフォントはケースシリアルが1.73ミリオン番台の個体でしか確認がされていません。極短い期間に製造され現存数は少なく、その愛らしい表情でロレックスファンを魅了しています。

Allow us to reintroduce the Explorer Ref.1016 MARK1, previously featured on our website's blog. This particular piece boasts the iconic "Frog Foot" coronet logo, found exclusively on the earliest MARK1 models, resembling the legs of a frog. Among them, this one stands out with what's known as a "Fat Font" dial, where the Tritium indices appear plumper and more pronounced compared to the non-fat version. The bracelet is a Ref.7206 with end pieces (FF) numbered 58, from the second quarter of 1969.

The case is in superb condition, showing minimal signs of use. Its proportions are excellent, with no evidence of excessive wear. The dial is flawless, devoid of any noticeable scratches or aging. The Tritium indices are untouched and in outstanding condition, with no visible blackening. The color match between the lume on the hands and indices is noteworthy. While it's uncertain whether the lume on the hands has been restored, they remain in ideal condition. The bracelet has minimal stretch and offers a comfortable fit. Having undergone disassembly and cleaning by our company, it boasts a power reserve of over 48 hours. It's truly a remarkable specimen without any flaws. We invite you to inspect it via video.

The "Fat Font" variation is only confirmed in models with case serial numbers in the 1.73 million range. Produced for a very brief period and scarce in number, its endearing appearance continues to captivate Rolex enthusiasts.
