フランスメーカー、LIPのクロノグラフです。ツイストラグを備えたケースはスクリューバックにラウンドプッシャーの防水仕様。ダイヤルはパウダーホワイトに外周に青タキメーターと赤テレメーター、インデックスは偶数のみの飛びアラビア数字。金色ケースとの見事な組み合わせが素晴らしい意匠です。インダイヤルは3時がモダンと呼ばれるデザイン針を採用した30分積算計、9時が永久秒針です。段が深く、精緻な同心円の掘り込みから造りの良さが伺えます。ドットのルミナスは掘り込みタイプ。ダイヤルより一段下がったもので、ロレックスの初期のエクスプローラーやオメガのシーマスター300でも採用されていました。搭載キャリバーは評価の高い＜VALJOUX（バルジュー）＞23ベースのR106。

ケースはかなりコンディションが良いです。ラグの複雑の面取りは綺麗にエッジを残しています。ケースサイド、バックはブランドの刻印が状態良く残っています。パウダーホワイトのダイヤルは中心部にわずかにエイジングが見られます。軽度なもので、ほのかな暖かみのある色調がケースカラーと調和しています。その他針やインデックスに目立った劣化は見られません。タキメーターとテレメーターの色味は当時のままを現存しています。彫り込みの深いインダイヤルは光を強く反射しています。夜行塗料は黒焼け、型崩れがなく、ベージュカラーがヴィンテージらしい表情を作り上げています。

細かいところにまで拘りが感じられるLIPのクロノグラフ。気を衒ったものではなく、36mmと王道のサイズ感、防水仕様と扱いやすさに長けている点もおすすめできるポイントです。フランスメーカー＜LIP（リップ）＞らしいデザイン性の高さを感じます。

BRAND

1807年に設立のフランスの老舗ブランド。第二次世界大戦後にはフランス政府の要請により元英国首相のウィンストン・チャーチル氏へ贈呈したT-18と呼ばれる時計を製作し、第一次世界大戦ではフランス軍の砲兵将校へミリタリーウォッチを供給。さらに1952年にはエレクトリック・ムーヴメントを開発して各国の大統領にフランス政府より贈呈されプレジデント・ウォッチと呼ばれました。

This chronograph by the French manufacturer LIP features a case with twist lugs, a screw-down back, and round pushers for water resistance. The powder white dial is complemented by a blue tachymeter and a red telemeter on the outer edge, with even-numbered Arabic numerals as the indices. The combination with the gold-colored case creates a beautiful and distinctive design. The subdials include a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock with a modern-style hand, and a permanent seconds hand at 9 o'clock. The deep, finely crafted concentric circles on the subdials showcase the high quality of its construction. The luminous dots are recessed, a feature also seen on early Rolex Explorers and Omega Seamaster 300 models. The movement is based on the highly regarded Valjoux 23, with the R106 caliber.

The case is in excellent condition, with the complex beveling on the lugs remaining sharp. The brand engravings on the case sides and back are well-preserved. The powder white dial shows slight aging near the center, with a subtle warm tone that harmonizes with the case color. There are no noticeable signs of degradation on the hands or indices. The tachymeter and telemeter retain their original color. The deeply recessed subdials reflect light beautifully. The luminous paint has aged to a beige color, maintaining its vintage charm without fading or distortion.

This LIP chronograph demonstrates a meticulous attention to detail, with a classic 36mm size and water-resistant design that makes it both practical and easy to wear. Its thoughtful design reflects the high level of craftsmanship that is characteristic of the French brand LIP.

Founded in 1807, LIP is a historic French brand. After World War II, it produced the T-18 watch, which was presented to Winston Churchill by the French government. During World War I, LIP supplied military watches to French artillery officers. In 1952, the brand developed an electric movement, which was presented to various world leaders by the French government and became known as the President's Watch.
