海外向けの6309と違い、ハック機能の付いた6306Aを搭載しています。曜日の表記は漢字/英語を選ぶことができます。ベゼルは完全に色味が抜け、ゴーストベゼルと呼ばれる状態に変化。ダイアルコンディションはとても良く、プリントの色味が抜けず綺麗に残っています。裏蓋のシリアルの刻印は深く大変良好です。ケースバックに「ABC YACHT CLUB 1978」のエングレービングが施されており、ユニークです。セイコーダイバーの中で3世代目となるモデルの、REF.6306-7001。1976年から1979年までに作られたと言われています。手巻が付いていない自動巻きムーブメントで、巻上げ機能が肝心です。オーバーホールの後のテストにて、１日半以上の作動を確認していますので、安心してお使いいただけます。

1960年代は、機械式腕時計は完成期とも言えるほどの発展を遂げた時期で、セイコーは精度コンクールの分野でも量産の分野でも、世界に追いつき、追いぬいた時代であった。同時に、「時計の電子化」が進展し、1969（昭和44）年12月にセイコーが世界初のクオーツ（水晶）腕時計を発売することにより、機械式腕時計からクオーツ腕時計へと大きく舵を切ろうとする時期でもあった。

COMMENT

The Ref. 6306-7001 represents the third generation in Seiko’s lineage of professional dive watches and was produced between 1976 and 1979. Unlike the export-market Ref. 6309, this domestic-market variant is powered by the Caliber 6306A, which features a hacking function. The day display offers both Kanji and English options, underscoring its Japanese-market specificity. The bezel has faded evenly into what is known among collectors as a “ghost bezel,” adding a unique vintage character. The dial remains in excellent condition, with all text and printing retaining their original color and crispness. On the caseback, the engraved serial number remains deeply etched and highly legible—an increasingly rare detail in vintage pieces.

As a non-hand-winding automatic movement, the winding efficiency is essential to functionality. Following a full overhaul, the watch has been tested to run for more than 36 hours on a single charge, ensuring it is ready for daily wear. This is a robust and collectible example of Seiko’s golden era of dive watch manufacturing.
