COMMENT

小ぶりなケースがヴィンテージらしいスピードキング。ダイヤルはホワイト。針は夜光塗料を載せたアルファです。ブルースチールの秒針はクラシカルな雰囲気が魅力。インデックスはクサビを採用しており、ノンデイトモデルの為、シンメトリーなバランス感が人気の高いデザインです。搭載Cal.1210は710の次に登場した手巻ムーブメント。安定性が高く、精度も良いため、充分実使用に向いています。パーツも交換しやすく、申し分のない使用感です。

ダイヤルはミントで、焼けが殆ど見られない良い状態です。夜光塗料はエイジングをしていますが、ベージュカラーで芳醇な表情です。インデックスや針は最低限のエイジングで、年式を考慮するとコンディションに秀でています。ブルースチールの秒針は色味がよく残っています。弊社にて分解掃除済です。ご購入後、快調な動きだしが期待できます。

スピードキングはフラットバックの時から採用してきた10 1/2リーニュの機械に合わせた手巻きロレックスの完成形です。現在では小さいと感じるケースサイズですが、1950年代まではスタンダードな大きさで、頼り甲斐のある性能の高さが魅力です。

The wedge-shaped indices contribute to its design, and as a no-date model, its symmetrical balance is highly appreciated. The watch houses the hand-wound Cal. 1210 movement, which succeeded the 710. Known for its stability and accuracy, it's well-suited for practical use, with parts that are easy to replace, making it a reliable timepiece.

The dial is in mint condition, with very little aging. The luminous material on the hands has aged to a rich beige, giving the watch a warm, vintage character. The indices and hands show minimal aging, considering its vintage, and the blue steel seconds hand retains its vivid color. The movement has been fully serviced by us, ensuring smooth functionality upon purchase.

The Speedking, featuring a 10½ ligne movement, represents the pinnacle of hand-wound Rolex watches that have used this design since the flat-back era. While the case size might seem small by today’s standards, it was considered standard up until the 1950s, and its dependable performance remains one of its strong points.
