36mmのラウンドケースは、ラグへと流れるような優美なラインを描いており、柔らかな曲線美が印象的です。ダイヤルはツートーン仕様で、光の当たり方によって陰影が移ろい、豊かな立体感を見せます。Ref.4870は多彩なバリエーションが存在しますが、本品はバーとクサビ型を組み合わせたインデックスに、大きめのパールドットをあしらったミニッツマーカーを備える、華やかでユニークな意匠が特徴です。象嵌によって浮かび上がるブランドロゴは、この時代のクラフツマンシップの高さを象徴しています。テール側が太めに設計された秒針もまた、繊細さと力強さが共存するヴァシュロンらしいディテールです。

ケースは優れたプロポーションを保っており、ごく微細な保管傷こそあるものの、打痕などの目立つダメージは見られず、全体として非常に良好な状態です。ダイヤルはルーペで精査しても経年変化の痕跡が少なく、全体的にクリームトーンへと美しく焼けており、ヴィンテージならではの深みをたたえています。針・インデックスともに艶やかで、劣化のない瑞々しいコンディションを維持しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

18世紀中頃創業のヴァシュロン・コンスタンタン。日本では誤訳により長い間バセロン・コンスタンチンの呼称で愛されていました。キャビノチェの精神に受け継ぐ世界最古の高級時計ブランドです。キャビノチェは、照明装置の乏しかった当時、技術の高い職人は明かりを求めて屋根裏部屋（キャビネット）に工房を設けており、人々は彼らに敬意を表してキャビノチェと呼んでいたことが語源です。マルタ十字のクロスをブランドロゴに掲げ、高く洗練された優れた技術力によって生み出された名品はコレクターも多く、世界中から高い評価を得ています。 

COMMENT

The 36mm round case is defined by its graceful, flowing lines that extend seamlessly into the lugs, offering a soft and elegant silhouette. The dial features a two-tone finish that plays beautifully with light, creating rich depth and dimensionality. Among the many variations of Ref. 4870, this example stands out with a striking dial layout—featuring a combination of bar and wedge-shaped hour markers, accented by oversized pearl-dot minute markers that add both character and charm. The inlaid Vacheron Constantin logo exemplifies the high level of craftsmanship characteristic of the era. The slightly broader tail-end of the seconds hand, a subtle yet distinct design cue, reflects the brand’s unique blend of finesse and strength.

The case maintains excellent proportions, with only minuscule storage marks and no notable dents or blemishes. The dial has aged beautifully, developing a soft cream tone throughout resulting in a vintage depth that is both warm and sophisticated. Under magnification, signs of aging are minimal. Both the hands and indexes retain their luster and remain in a fresh, well-preserved condition. Fully disassembled and cleaned by our workshop.

Among the Ref. 4870 series, this piece showcases one of the most elaborately designed dials.
