ペンシルハンドにバーインデックスを組み合わせたクラシカルな意匠。針は緩やかな曲面を描き、光を滑らせるように反射します。インデックスは3面のファセットで構成され、針とは異なる鋭い光の表情を見せます。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ仕上げ。ブレスレットはフォールデッドオイスターRef.7835にエンドリンク357を組み合わせ、クラスプデイトは72/3です。

ムーブメントはCal.1225を搭載。長きにわたり製造されたRef.6694の中でも安定性に定評があり、同世代の1570系と並び完成度の高いキャリバーとして評価されています。

ケースは全体的に軽微な傷が見られるものの、ベゼルは傷が最小限に抑えられ、美しい光沢を放っています。ガラスに傷はなく、リューズのロゴは鮮明に残っています。ダイヤルはエイジングの痕跡が見られず、当時の雰囲気をよく伝えるコンディション。針は厳密に見るとわずかに斑点状のくすみがありますが、通常使用では気にならない程度です。インデックスは鏡面仕上げを保ち、光を鮮やかに反射します。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

The silver sunray dial enhances the refined appearance. The watch is fitted with a folded Oyster bracelet Ref. 7835 with end links 357, and the clasp is stamped 72/3.

It houses the Cal.1225 movement, regarded as one of the most reliable within the long-produced Ref. 6694 line. Alongside the contemporary 1570 series, it stands as a highly accomplished calibre known for its durability and precision.

The textured surface creates a wave-like effect, giving the indexes and logo a subtly elevated appearance. As it lacks a quickset date, adjustments are made by advancing the hands — a detail that adds to its vintage charm and deepens its character. Balancing restraint with presence, this watch embodies both elegance and substance.

As a hand-wound model, the Oysterdate is notably slim, making it an ideal daily wearer and often regarded as an entry point into Rolex. Produced in a wide variety of dial colours — including black and blue — it has traditionally been more accessible compared to other models. Its dependable manual movement offers excellent accuracy, though the absence of a quickset date means advancing the hands to change the date, a characteristic quirk that contributes to its vintage appeal and enduring charm.
