COMMENT  

1950年代末期製造のRef.6494は、オイスターデイトとして知られるRef.6694よりも一世代前のモデルです。アルファハンドとブルースチール製のテールドット秒針が採用され、年式を象徴するデザインとなっています。王冠ロゴはフラットで夜光塗料がない仕様のため、スポーティーなディテールが際立ちながらも、上品な印象を醸し出しています。デイト表示は赤と黒が交互に表示される、ルーレットデイトです。リベットオイスターブレスレットRef.7205、エンドリンク60、クラスプデイト2/68が使用されています。  

ケースは傷の少ないコンディションで、ベゼル周りに細かい打痕などはあるものの、全体的に清潔感を保っています。ダイヤルはインデックスの根本周りにエイジングが見られますが、経年による落ち着いたトーンが生まれ、温かみのある印象に移ろいでいます。針は若干のくすみがあるものの、全体の落ち着いた雰囲気にマッチしており、自然な経年変化を感じさせます。インデックスも同様に、細かなエイジングが見られますが、光を受けると美しく輝きを放ちます。ブレスレットは適度な伸びはあるものの、ヴィンテージならではの雰囲気を楽しむには申し分のない状態を維持しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。  

デイト付きの手に馴染みやすいモデル。シンプルなデザインにルーレットダイヤルは余裕を感じさせる組み合わせです。ロレックスが誇る防水性、耐震性、耐磁性、そして高い精度を備えながらも、無駄のないデザインが際立ちます。一見シンプルでありながら、その中に機能美と構築美が凝縮されており、メンテナンス性の高さからも、生涯をともにする時計として相応しい一本です。

Manufactured in the late 1950s, the Ref. 6494 is an earlier generation of the Oysterdate, preceding the more widely known Ref. 6694. This model features alpha hands and blued steel seconds hand, embodying the characteristic design of its era. The flat coronet logo, devoid of luminous material, enhances its refined yet subtly sporty appearance. The date display is a roulette-style calendar, alternating between red and black numerals. It is paired with a riveted Oyster bracelet, Ref. 7205, with 60 end links and a clasp dated 2/68.  

The case remains in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. While minor nicks can be seen around the bezel, the overall presentation is clean and well-preserved. The dial exhibits light aging around the base of the indexes, contributing to a softened, warm tone that enhances its vintage charm. The hands show slight patina, harmonizing with the watch’s matured aesthetic, while the indexes, though displaying subtle aging, retain their ability to reflect light beautifully. The bracelet has moderate stretch, yet it remains in a condition befitting a vintage timepiece, offering both character and wearability. The watch has been fully serviced by our company.  

A comfortable, date-equipped model with an understated presence, the combination of a simple design and a roulette date display exudes a relaxed elegance.
