AQUADIVE 1000 Ref.709-1は、1970年代に製造されたプロフェッショナル仕様のダイバーズウォッチです。このモデルは、1000メートル（約3333フィート）の防水性能を誇り、当時のダイバーズウォッチとしては極めて高い水準にありました。この防水性能は、ジェニー社製の「トリプルセーフ」ケースデザインを採用した、大型のモノブロックケースによって実現されています。  

デザイン面では、光沢のあるブラックダイヤルに視認性の高いインデックスと針が配置され、実用性を確保しつつも、どこかポップな印象を与えます。ケースは直径48mmのビッグサイズで、ワンピース構造による頑丈さと防水性を兼ね備えています。また、回転ベゼルを装備し、ダイビング中の経過時間の測定にも対応。ムーブメントにはETA 2783を採用し、信頼性と精度を兼ね備えています。  

ほとんど使用感のない素晴らしいコンディションを維持しています。頑強なケースは傷がなく、オリジナルのプロポーションを保っています。ベゼルインサートには若干のスレ傷が見られますが、年代を考慮すれば避けがたい部分です。ダイヤルはミントコンディションで、経年による劣化は一切見られません。特に夜光塗料の状態が良好で、UVライトを当てるとしっかりと蓄光します。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。  

当時、AQUADIVEは一般の時計店ではなく、プロユースのダイビングショップのみで販売されていました。そのため製造個体数が少なく、さらにダイビングという過酷な環境で使用されていたことから、良好な状態で現存する個体は極めて稀少です。裏蓋のメダリオンには「Caribbean／TRIP-SAFE（カリブ海／安全な旅）」と刻印されており、当時のダイバーズウォッチとしての高い性能と信頼性を象徴しています。AQUADIVE 1000 Ref.709-1は、その優れた防水性能と独特のデザインにより、ヴィンテージダイバーズウォッチの中でも特に評価の高い一本となっています。

かつて世界中で多くの時計メーカーが乱立した時代がありました。その頃日本の為替レートは１ドル360円で固定され、輸入品はとても高価。その為、日本では知られていない時計メーカーが星の数ほど多く存在します。

The AQUADIVE 1000 Ref. 709-1 is a professional-grade diver's watch produced in the 1970s. This model boasts an impressive water resistance of 1,000 meters (approximately 3,333 feet), which was among the highest standards for dive watches of its time. This exceptional water resistance is achieved through a large monobloc case featuring Jenny’s “Triple-Safe” case design.  

In terms of design, the glossy black dial is equipped with highly legible indexes and hands, ensuring practicality while also exuding a slightly playful aesthetic. The case measures a substantial 48mm in diameter, combining robustness with superior water resistance thanks to its one-piece construction. Additionally, it features a rotating bezel for measuring elapsed time during dives. The watch is powered by the reliable ETA 2783 movement, offering both precision and dependability.  

This piece remains in outstanding condition with minimal signs of wear. The sturdy case is free from scratches, preserving its original proportions. The bezel insert exhibits minor scuffs, which are inevitable given its age. The dial is in mint condition, showing no signs of aging, and the luminous material is exceptionally well-preserved, glowing brightly under UV light. The watch has been fully serviced by our team.  

At the time, AQUADIVE watches were not sold in regular watch stores but were instead available exclusively through professional diving shops. As a result, production numbers were limited, and since these watches were subjected to the harsh conditions of professional diving, well-preserved examples are extremely rare today. The case back medallion is engraved with “Caribbean / TRIP-SAFE,” symbolizing the watch’s high performance and reliability as a professional diver’s tool. The AQUADIVE 1000 Ref. 709-1 stands out as one of the most highly regarded vintage diver’s watches, thanks to its exceptional water resistance and distinctive design.
