薄型手巻きモデルのRef.6480です。ROLEXのロゴが植字の時代のもので、ブルースチールの秒針と共に年式を感じさせます。時分針はソリッドなアルファハンドです。文字盤はホワイトのギョシェ。ギョシェとは文字盤やケースなどに模様を刻印する装飾技法で、海外では蜂の巣を意味するハニカムとも呼ばれています。インデックスの3,6,9がアラビアの通称エクスプローラーダイアルで、他はティアドロップ型です。夜光塗料が一切ないデザインですので、すっきりとしています。プラスリューズを保持したオリジナル性の高い個体です。エクスパンジョンのリベットブレスを装備しています。

ケースはよく使い込まれた形跡がありますが、プロポーションを損なう過度な痩せは見られません。ダイアルはエイジングにより芳醇なクリーム色に変化しています。マイナスになるような汚れや黒ずみは見当たりません。針やインデックスはルーペで注視すると、わずかにエイジングが確認でき、文字盤との整合性が取れています。ブレスの伸びが少なく、嬉しいポイントです。

The hour and minute hands are solid alpha hands. The dial features a white guilloché pattern, a decorative technique where patterns are engraved on the dial or case, also known overseas as honeycomb. The numerals at 3, 6, and 9 are the Explorer dial's Arabic numerals, while the rest are teardrop-shaped. With no luminous paint, the design is clean and crisp, retaining its originality with the plus crown guards. It comes equipped with an expansion rivet bracelet.

While the case shows signs of regular wear, there's no excessive thinning that compromises its proportions. The dial has aged to a rich cream color, free from any noticeable stains or discoloration.
