COMMENT

4402-8000は、1961年に始まったキングセイコーの第二世代のモデルです。放射状に広がる文字盤のヘアライン仕上げは、クラシックモデルとして洗練されております。インデックスは切子面が多く表面処理が施されているため、光を当てるとどの角度からでも輝きます。ハック機能が付いており、日付の早送りと戻しの両合わせができるため、非常に使い勝手の良い機械です。こちらは初期型モデルのため、ダイヤルに亀戸マークが入らず、メダリオンはKING SEIKOの刻印です。

ケースの状態は、プロポーションが良く小傷すらあまり見られません。ケースバックの中央の金のメダリオンや、リューズの「SEIKO WATCH」を表すSWが綺麗に残っております。

1968年のスイスのヌーシャテルで行われた精度観測試験で、セイコーは他のメーカーを上回る最も正確な機械を備えていると判断されました。すっきりとしたシンプルで素晴らしいドレスウォッチで、パリッとしたジャケットによく似合いそうです。普段のワードローブに合わせるアクセントとして、半世紀前のお時計をご提案いたします。

The 4402-8000 is the second-generation model of the King Seiko series, which commenced in 1961. Its sunburst-finished dial, radiating outward, exudes sophistication as a classic model. With numerous facets on the indexes and surface treatments applied, the dial shines from every angle when light hits it. Equipped with a hacking function, it allows for easy adjustment of both the date forward and backward, making it an incredibly user-friendly mechanical timepiece. Being an early model, this piece lacks the Kameido mark on the dial and instead features the KING SEIKO medallion.

The case is in excellent condition, with proportions well-maintained and few visible scratches. The gold medallion at the center of the case back and the "SEIKO WATCH" marking on the crown remain beautifully intact.

In the precision observation test conducted in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in 1968, Seiko was judged to have the most accurate mechanism surpassing other manufacturers.
