ケースは金張りのラウンドフォルムで、丸みを帯びたシルエットにしっかりとしたラグが備わっています。ダイヤルは柔らかなホワイトで、ゴールドケースと組み合わさることで落ち着いた高級感を漂わせています。インデックスは多面カットのバータイプで、針は上面がフラットに仕上げられたドーフィンハンド。搭載ムーブメントは国産初のクロノメーター規格準拠となるCal.3180で、当時のセイコーが世界の高級時計ブランドと並び立つきっかけとなった記念碑的存在です。精度面に加え、耐久性やメンテナンス性も備えた優れた実用機構でした。

The dial, finished in a gentle white tone, pairs harmoniously with the gold case to create an understated yet luxurious presence. Multi-faceted bar indexes complement dauphine hands with flat-polished upper surfaces. Inside beats the Cal.3180, the first Japanese movement certified to chronometer standards—a milestone that placed Seiko alongside the world’s most prestigious watchmakers. Beyond accuracy, it also offered remarkable durability and serviceability, establishing itself as a truly practical high-grade mechanism.

This pivotal moment signaled the transition from mechanical to quartz technology, with Seiko once again at the forefront of innovation.
