1954年製造のRef.6294。オイスターデイトと言えばRef.6694ですが、二世代前のもの、それはすなわち初代です。正方形パターンのハニカムダイヤルは独特な表面の質感が特筆すべき点で、1950年代のみに見られる手の込んだ造りです。クサビインデックスや王冠ロゴはデボスタイプです。外周にはチャプターリングを配しています。針はこの年代の定番のひとつ、アルファハンド。日付はこの世代によく見られるルーレットデイトではなく常にレッド。デイト機能が搭載された初期のアピールが感じられる仕様です。エキスパンジョンブレスレット、エンドリンク57を装備しています。

ケースは若干使用感が見られますが、悪くないプロポーションです。ブラックのハニカムダイヤルはミントなコンディションです。針やインデックスの経年変化は軽度で、ヤレたような雰囲気は感じません。希少なブレスはエクステンションのバネがよく効いています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

Manufactured in 1954, the Ref.6294 is a noteworthy predecessor to the more commonly known Oyster Date Ref.6694. This is the first generation, characterized by its distinctive square-pattern honeycomb dial, showcasing a unique textured surface that represents the intricate craftsmanship of the 1950s. The wedge-shaped indexes and embossed crown logo are of the "Deboss" type, complemented by an outer chapter ring. The hands of choice for this era are the classic Alpha hands, and unlike the roulette date often seen in this generation, the date wheel consistently features a red font. The initial appeal of having a date function is evident in this specification. It comes equipped with an expansion bracelet and Endlink 57.

While the case shows slight signs of use, its proportions remain commendable. The black honeycomb dial is in mint condition, and the aging of the hands and indexes is mild, maintaining a well-preserved appearance. The rare bracelet demonstrates effective extension functionality and has undergone disassembly and cleaning by our experts.
