機械式腕時計最盛期1969製、ロレックスのフラッグシップモデルはRef.1803デイデイトです。金無垢とプラチナのみで展開されているデイデイトは、フルスペルで曜日が表示される初のモデルでした。18金無垢のオイスターケースはフルーテッドベゼルの輝きが美しく、重厚感があります。この個体はラグジュアリーなデイデイトを体現するかのような、ノールミナスモデルです。サンレイ仕上げのダイヤルは、外周に段がつき、インデックスはアプライドと立体造形に富んだ、ヴィンテージならではの世界です。

搭載ムーブメントはデイデイト専用Cal.1556。テンワの慣性モーメントを調整することで、時計の進み遅れを調整する「フリースプラング」を採用。ひげぜんまいへの余計な負荷が少なく、長期的に精度安定、等時性安定を実現できます。

ケースはラグが非常に長い、非常にたくましいプロポーションです。2時のラグ裏のホールマークがしっかりと視認できるのがポイントです。ダイヤルは極めてミントなコンディションです。この年式のデイデイトで、ここまでダイヤルの状態が良いものは多くはありません。当時のヘアラインによる質感をそのままに残しています。当時のオリジナル針とインデックスは上面の鏡面仕上げが煌びやかに輝きます。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ48時間以上を確認しています。

デイデイトは1956年の発表当時、日付と曜日を表示する世界初の防水性能を備えたクロノメーター自動巻時計でした。ROLEXから35代目アメリカ大統領のアイゼンハワー氏に贈呈されたことを始め、現在でも最高のステータスウォッチとしての地位を確立しています。

A pinnacle of mechanical wristwatches from the zenith of 1969, the Rolex flagship model, Ref.1803 Day-Date, is a testament to luxury. The Day-Date, available only in solid gold and platinum, marked the introduction of the first model to display the day of the week in full. The 18k solid gold Oyster case, with its gleaming fluted bezel, exudes elegance and weightiness. This particular timepiece, a non-luminous model, embodies the luxurious essence of the Day-Date. The sunburst-finished dial, featuring stepped edges on the periphery and raised applied indices, presents a vintage charm unique to its era.

Housing the dedicated Cal.1556 movement, this watch incorporates the "free-sprung" balance, adjusting the inertial moment of the balance wheel to regulate the timekeeping accuracy. This design minimizes additional loads on the hairspring, ensuring long-term stability in precision and isochronism.

The case boasts robust proportions with remarkably long lugs, and the hallmark on the lug back at 2 o'clock is clearly visible—a distinctive feature of note. The dial is in exceptionally mint condition, a rarity for Day-Date timepieces from this era. It retains the original hairline texture, showcasing the quality of the craftsmanship from that time. The original hands and indices, with their mirrored finish on the top, glisten brilliantly. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned by our team, confirming a power reserve of over 48 hours.

When the Day-Date was introduced in 1956, it was the world's first chronometer automatic watch with waterproof capabilities displaying both the date and day of the week. Bestowed upon the 35th President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower, by ROLEX, the Day-Date has since established itself as the epitome of the highest status watch.
