フラットなエンジンターンドベゼルが特徴のRef.1501は、34.5mmという控えめなサイズながら、スポーティーで強い存在感を放つモデルです。ダイヤルはミニッツとインデックスの長さが揃ったラジアルデザインで、サンレイ仕上げによる光の表情が美しく、ヴィンテージロレックスならではの奥行きが感じられます。針とインデックスは中央にブラックのプリントが入ったバータイプで、視認性とデザイン性を両立。ブレスレットにはフォールデッドのオイスターブレスレットRef.7835を装備し、エンドリンクは357、クラスプデイトの刻印がない1974～75年製の個体に正しく対応した構成です。

搭載ムーブメントは、ロレックスの名機Cal.1570。高い精度と耐久性で知られ、1960年代から1980年代にかけて幅広く採用された実績あるクロノメーター機です。本個体は後期型にあたり、ハック機能（秒針停止機構）も搭載されています。

ケースは全体として良好なコンディションを保っており、特徴的なベゼルのエッジは鮮明に残されています。裏蓋にオリジナルのシールが残っており、保存状態の良さを示すポイントです。特筆すべきはブレスレットで、バックルのヒンジがしっかり自立するほど張りがあり、使用感の少なさが際立っています。ダイヤルはエイジングが見られず、ミントコンデションです。針・インデックスには傷やくすみが一切なく美しい状態を維持しています。この状態良さは夜光なしであることも一因と考えられます。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

使用感の極めて少ない希少な個体です。細部まで意匠がしっかりと残されており、工芸品のような美しさを堪能できます。エンジンターンドベゼルとサンレイ×ラジアルのダイヤル、鏡面仕上げの針など、ロレックスの技術と美学が見事に融合した一本です。

COMMENT

The Ref. 1501 stands out with its flat engine-turned bezel, offering a bold and sporty presence despite its modest 34.5mm size. The dial features a radial design where the minute markers align perfectly with the indexes, enhancing its symmetry. Finished with a beautiful sunburst texture, the dial captures light dynamically, adding a rich sense of depth characteristic of vintage Rolex. The hands and indexes are bar-shaped with black central inlays, striking a perfect balance between legibility and visual sophistication. This example is paired with a folded Oyster bracelet (Ref. 7835) and correct 357 end links, which correspond precisely to models from 1974–1975 without the clasp date stamp.

Inside is Rolex’s legendary Caliber 1570, a certified chronometer known for its durability and precision. Used widely from the 1960s through the 1980s, this particular example is the later version equipped with the hacking seconds function.

The case remains in excellent condition overall, with sharp edges preserved on the distinctive bezel. The original caseback sticker is still intact, further indicating how well this watch has been preserved. Notably, the bracelet exhibits remarkable integrity—its clasp hinge still stands firmly, a rare trait that underscores the minimal wear. The dial is in mint condition, free of any aging, while the hands and indexes are pristine, with no signs of tarnish or damage. The watch has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and serviced by our team.

This is an exceptionally well-preserved piece—one rarely seen even in our shop. Every detail has been beautifully maintained, allowing the watch to be appreciated as a true work of horological craftsmanship. With its engine-turned bezel, sunburst and radial dial, and mirror-polished hands, this model exemplifies Rolex’s masterful fusion of engineering and aesthetic excellence.
