COMMENT

サルビアブルーが目の覚めるような美しさのコンチキ20です。レターは全てホワイトプリントで、ブルーとのコントラストが爽やかな配色です。インデックスは複雑な形状にカッティングされた幅広のものです。外側はフラット。内側は斜傾をつけることでフェイスに奥行きを見せています。フラットな部分にはセンターにホワイトプリントを塗布することで読時性を高めます。カレンダーの背景まで同色の手の込んだデザインです。針はセンターに稜線を引いたバーで、ルミナスとホワイトプリントをそれぞれ配しています。

ケースはラグがシームレスで、大ぶりなカッティングが流れるようなデザインです。ねじ込み式リューズ、スクリューバックと防水性を念頭に入れたスペックで、ケースバックにはKontiki号が描かれたメダリオンが付いています。純正ブレスはゲイフレアー製。バックル部にエテルナの五つ星とKONTIKIの銘が刻印されています。

ケースは使用傷を帯びながらも特徴的なケースラインをよく残しています。ケースサイドの一直線のファセットや、フラットベゼルのエッジが立っています。純正ブレスは伸びが少なく、快適な装着感です。ダイアルは気になるようなダメージの見られない素晴らしいコンディションです。半球状のルミナスは形を崩さずベージュカラーが素晴らしい色合いです。インデックスや針は上面のメッキにくすみがなく、美しい鏡面反射を見せています。当店にてオーバーホール済みで、パワーリザーブ45時間を確認しています。

コンチキはエテルナのフラッグシップモデルで、外装からムーブメントに至るまで、ブランド独自のデザインが堪能できます。近年は過小評価をされがちですが、クオリティの高さには評価するべきものがあります。

COMMENT

The Kontiki 20 in Salvia Blue boasts an awakening beauty. Letters are all printed in white, creating a refreshing contrast with the blue. The indexes are wide and intricately cut, with a flat outer edge and an inclined inner edge, adding depth to the face. White printing at the center of the flat sections enhances readability. The calendar background shares the same elaborate design in the same color. The hands feature a ridged bar at the center, with luminous and white print respectively distributed.

The case features seamless lugs and a bold, flowing design. With screw-down crown, screw-in case back, and waterproof specifications in mind, the case back is adorned with a medallion depicting the Kontiki ship. The genuine bracelet is made by Gay Frères, with Eterna's five stars and KONTIKI engraved on the buckle.

While the case shows signs of use, it maintains its distinctive case lines well. The straight facets on the case side and the sharp edges of the flat bezel are prominent. The genuine bracelet has minimal stretch, offering a comfortable fit. The dial is in excellent condition without noticeable damage, and the hemispherical luminous material retains its shape, showcasing a superb beige color. The indexes and hands have no tarnishing on the top plating, displaying beautiful mirror-like reflections. Overhauled by our store, it confirms a power reserve of 45 hours.

The Kontiki is Eterna's flagship model, offering the brand's unique design from the exterior to the movement. While it tends to be underrated in recent years, its high quality deserves recognition.
