OMEGA Constellation Ref.168.005

COMMENT

COMMENT

While the Speedmaster and Seamaster models often take center stage, the Constellation tends to be somewhat underrated. However, this presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a classic and remarkable Omega with the iconic "pie pan" dial that leaves a lasting impression. The multi-faceted beetle lugs, featuring linear expanses, create a distinctive beetle-like appearance. The raised indices with black luminous material, the geometric minute track – all these meticulous details contribute to the rich character of the dial. Notably, the exceptional beauty of its condition exudes a rare and unmissable charm.

Powered by the high-precision Caliber 564, a movement that passed the chronometer standards. The 550 series and subsequent calibers evolved into smart and efficient mechanisms by eliminating unnecessary elements. This evolution resulted in a reduction of design constraints, leading to a more stylish and user-friendly face. Its everyday usability is a compelling aspect, and we have confidence in providing maintenance for this timepiece at our store.

Considering the excellent automatic winding efficiency of Omega's movements from this era, manual winding is rarely necessary. The original crown of the Constellation prioritizes design aesthetics. Although manual winding may feel somewhat challenging, it is part of the original specification and poses no issues.
