1939年のオメガです。cal.T17搭載のレクタンギュラー（長方形）ケースで、角型ケースの課題であった防水性、防塵の改善のために2重構造となっています。その効果なのか、ダイヤルは80年前の時計とは思えない素晴らしいコンディション。黒であるところは黒く、金であるところは金のまま。そんな当たり前のことがこんなにも素晴らしいことに思えるのはこのダイヤルのせいです。

このダイヤル、なんということでしょう。黒グレーのツートーン、インデックスやミニッツトラック等文字や線は金というチョイス。もちろんブルズアイダイヤルも同様ですね。でも、インデックスはローマ数字を用いてケースのシルエットと同様の細長いものを組み合わせています。角型の時計にこの組み合わせとバランス、何かが舞い降りてきたかのようなデザインセンスですね。パーフェクトです。
