COMMENT

オメガのフラッグシップ、コンステレーションからレディースモデルです。デイト機能を備えた自動巻きで実用性に富んだ逸品。ケース設計はジェラルドジェンタが手掛けたと言われる、CケースRef.168.017をそのまま小型化に成功させています。 ケースはステンレスに厚く金を被せたゴールドトップ。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイダイヤル。バーインデックスのセンター位置と、ペンシルハンドはブラックの塗装が施されており、読時性に優れています。

ケースは若干の小傷が見られるものの、良いプロポーションをしています。ラグのエッジ部にある鏡面の面取りが綺麗に残っています。ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。インデックスと針のブラックのプリント、鏡面仕上げは劣化がなく、当時のままを保っています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

星座を意味するコンステレーションは、オメガの最高精度と自動巻を両立させた珠玉のモデルです。 クオーツ時計開発以前の「精度こそ絶対的な価値」とされた時代に生まれた最高峰の時計です。

腕時計が普及し始めた1910年代から手巻き、自動巻と変遷を経て、クオーツ時計の開発によって機械式時計が衰退します。それ以前の1960年代に機械式腕時計はひとつのピークに達します。当時は日本でも三種の神器の一つだったオメガの時計。持つ人のステータスとなる高級品で、各メーカーが精度や防水性、耐久性など切磋琢磨し開発した時代。コストをかけて、より良い時計造りのためにしのぎを削っていました。

COMMENT

This is a ladies' model from Omega's flagship Constellation series, equipped with a practical automatic movement featuring a date function. The case design successfully downsizes the iconic C-shaped case Ref.168.017, attributed to Gerald Genta. It's crafted with a stainless steel case topped with a thick layer of gold. The dial boasts a silver sun-burst finish, with black paint on the center of the bar indexes and pencil hands, enhancing readability.

While the case exhibits minor scratches, it retains excellent proportions. The mirror-finished chamfers on the lugs' edges remain beautifully intact. The dial is in mint condition, with no signs of deterioration on the black-printed indexes and hands or the mirror finish, preserving its original state. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our company.

The Constellation, symbolizing the stars, is a gem of a model from Omega, harmonizing top-notch accuracy with automatic winding. It represents the pinnacle of watchmaking born in an era when precision was deemed the absolute value before the development of quartz watches.
